I think this will be one of the factors that will make or break your challenge.

Each glass of alcohol contains almost 100 calories

1 glass = 200ml beer

30 ml nip spirit

120ml glass wine

 

Who drinks 120mls as a glass of wine! and most of us would drink more than 30ml as a nip of spirit (not to mention the calories in the mixers!!).  So a couple of beers with lunch and then a few wines with dinner can add up to an extra 500calories per day.

Not to mention the fact that alcohol does increase your appetite and it tends to weaken your resolve-so the coconut prawns that you were definitely not going t order just seem too good to resist after a drink or two.  All of this adds up to many extra calories-something you just cannot afford on this challenge.

Alcohol free for the duration is the best option

If this is too difficult then think about limiting alcohol to drink with dinner and none during the day, or even just a glass or two on the weekends-avoiding alcohol mid week.  Make a decision which direction you are taking and follow it through,those who avoid alcohol will be miles ahead in the challenge.
