Missing meals and then often overeating at the next meal is a sure recipe for disaster.
It is important to eat a good breakfast then medium sized lunch and preferably small dinner each day
You have heard the saying:
“Breakfast like a king - Lunch like a queen - Dine like a pauper”
Live like this and you cannot go wrong
Eating nothing or just snacking instead of having meals in the morning and afternoon leads to overeating at 5pm drink and nibble time and the overeating usually continues on through dinner when large often heavy, meals are eaten.
People often think if they eat breakfast then they just keep on eating all day long.
This is not true, sure it may take a day or so to adjust, but eating a good breakfast and lunch definitely helps to reduce overeating at the end of the day.
Plan and get into the daily habit of having a great breakfast or even 9am breakfast at morning tea , if earlier does not suit taking time for a substantial lunch with the view of making this the main meal of the day a smaller and lighter evening meal
Not only will you feel fantastic - your waistline will show it (and so to will the scales!)
