Dr Junia Larsen

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Larsen graduated from the University of Queensland in 1999.  After graduation, she worked as an intern and resident medical officer at Nambour General Hospital and Nambour Private Hospital before travelling overseas.  On her return, Dr Larsen worked at Princess Alexandra Hospital, QEII Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital, gaining experience in emergency medicine, intensive care, general medicine, respiratory medicine and paediatrics.  Subsequently she worked in general practice in Brisbane and Caloundra before being awarded her FRACGP in 2006.  After this she moved to Boston, USA, with her husband and young family.  Whilst there she completed further study in Travel Health.  Dr Larsen has returned to live on the Sunshine Coast in 2010.

Special interest areas

Dr Larsen has a particular interest in Travel Health, for which she holds a Certificate in Travel Health, and also in Women’s Health. Outside of work Dr Larsen enjoys time with her 2 young daughters, and her beautiful dog Bella.  She enjoys running and gym sessions for fitness and has a passion for travel.
