Nursing Staff

Wendy, Sally, Bronwyn. Rebecca and Llara .Our nursing staff play a vital role in the high quality medical care provided at Medicine On Second. They maintain their knowledge and skills through their commitment to ongoing nursing education.

They run our treatment room efficiently and help our patients in many ways, including wound care, childhood immunisation, medical testing, health assessments, asthma and diabetes education. They also ensure that the highest standards of patient care and infection control are maintained.

Wendy Bishop - Practice Nurse

Wendy has been nursing for about 12 years. She qualified in Toowoomba and completed practical training at Caboolture Hospital. Wendy has a special interest in wound care, travel and child immunisations, and allergy testing for adults and children. She loves working with her patients hoping to offer them a better quality of life. Wendy regularly undertakes extra training to broaden her knowledge in medical/patient care.

Sally McKinley – Practice Nurse

 Sally Mckinley completed her registered nurse training at University College Hospital in London in 1985. She moved out to Australia in 1988 as a backpacker, after travelling for 12 months she fell in love with Australia and settled in Queensland. Her background includes medical , surgical and high dependency nursing. For 12 years  she was a theatre nurse and qualified as an anaesthetic nurse through QUT . She has always  had an interest in Practice Nursing and moved into this field 3 years ago. She is an immunisation endorsed nurse and is running the Diabetic clinic to assist in the care and education of all diabetic patients

 Llara Taylor– Treatment Room Reception Manager

  Llara has been a medical receptionist for many years, working in various medical centre’s the size of Medicine On Second.  Llara has recently moved into a newly created position in the treatment room as a medical Assistant helping the nursing staff with Clinical Care.  Her special interests lie in health assessments for over 75s.  Llara is currently studying Cert IV in Medical Assisting.
