Raised in NSW, Dr Pitkin studied medicine at the University of Queensland and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery (MBBS) in 1995. After working at Toowoomba Base Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital for several years, Dr Pitkin worked in the United Kingdom for two years. She returned to Australia in 2000 and commenced at Plaza Central in 2002. She was awarded Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in early 2003.
In 2005 Joanne Pitkin completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) through the Westmead Children's Hospital in Sydney and the University of Sydney.
Special Interest Areas
Dr Pitkin enjoys all aspects of General Practice and Family Medicine. However she has a special interest in cardiac disease, lung disease, Women’s health, Adolescent health & Aged care
