Dr Patricia Smart

Dr Smart graduated from the University of Queensland in 1995 and went on to spend 3 years working at Nambour General Hospital. After an extended period of travel she then undertook 6 months of further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completing a post-graduate Certificate in Women's Health in 1999.

Dr Smart has been working in General Practice since late 1999 and was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2001. She worked in Brisbane until moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2006. Patricia enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, but has a particular interest in paediatrics.

Since 2001, Dr Smart has worked as a Medical Writer and Facilitator of online professional education for GPs and pharmacists. She is also currently involved in GP Registrar training on the Sunshine Coast.

Dr Smart has two young children who keep her busy. Her other interests include travel, bushwalking and camping. A lifelong ambition has been to master another language (French), a goal which she is creeping towards slowly!

Special Interest Areas
These days, Dr Smarts' main interests are in paediatrics, women's health and family medicine.
