Health and Wellbeing

As part of the population boom, the Sunshine Coast has seen an increase in retirees relocating to the area for its quality of life. This growth has encouraged the development of state-of-the-art aged care services along with extensive medical facilities and supporting infrastructure. The region is serviced by four public hospitals and five private hospitals. To meet the needs of an emerging population the planned $1.97 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital will further enhance the Sunshine Coast as a location for medical facilities or services, business and innovation.
