11 Feb 2009 9:13 PM - Medicine on Second

Medicine On 2nd is pleased to announce that Dr Peter O'Hara will be starting a skin clinic from February 17th. Initially the clinic will be based in our GP area, but over the next few months we will be opening dedicated skin clinic rooms with state of the art facilities, operating area and nursing support, adjacent to the main clinic in our allied health area.

Dr O'Hara is well known to the residents of the coast having worked previously at the Molescan and Skinalert Skin Cancer Clinics at Caloundra, Minyama and Noosa. He has been Australian Director of Molescan and Skinalert, and has been an Honorary Lecturer in Skin Cancer Medicine at the University of Queensland.

Dr O'Hara is available for consultation relating to ALL skin problems. He has considerable experience in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment; eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and acne diagnosis and treatment; photorejuvenation, and digital imaging.

Dr O'Hara is particularly interested in facial skin cancers and their surgical treatment, and in doctor and community education in relation to skin cancer.

Dr O'Hara is available for community lectures and has been a guest speaker for local organisations including Rotary, Probus, CWA, Salvation Army, Vietnam Veterans, RSL clubs and retirement villages.

We welcome Dr O'Hara and note that he is available for consultation on Tuesday and Friday afternoons initially.

Appointments may be made by calling 54439455 or online.

Dr O'Hara will continue to bulkbill pensioners and Health Care card holders, and all procedures will also be bulkbilled.

If you are on a hospital waiting list, if you are unhappy with your present skin condition, if you cannot afford private treatment, please feel free to make an appointment and see if Dr O'Hara can be of assistance to you and your skin problems.
